- USING THE SYMPTOM CHART
-
- Find the symptom that best describes how the defective monitor
- appears and then try the recommended actions in the order listed.
- If the first corrective action does not solve the problem, put back
- the original module or part before trying the next action.

- Symptom Corrective Action

- Power is On, 1. Make sure that the power cord is
- LED is Off plugged into a live power outlet.
- 2. Replace the LED assembly.
- 3. Replace the AC cord assembly.
- 4. Replace the main logic board.
- 5. Replace the CRT video board.
- 6. Replace the ON/OFF Switch.
- 7. Replace the CRT.

- Power is On, LED 1. Make sure that the computer
- is on, but raster connection is secure.
- is not displayed 2. Adjust the external BRIGHTNESS
- control on the front panel.
- 3. Adjust the Contrast Control.
- 4. Check fuse F901 on the main logic
- board. Replace if blown.
- 5. Check that all connectors are secure
- on the main logic board and the CRT
- video board.
- 6. Replace the main logic board.
- 7. Replace the CRT video board.
- 8. Replace the CRT.

- One horizontal 1. Check to make sure that the internal
- line appears service switch (S691) is in NORMAL
- position (pointing horizontally
- towards the back of the monitor).
